Job Summary:
The Purchasing Agent is responsible for procuring goods and services essential for the company's operations. This role involves negotiating with suppliers, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality materials at the best possible price. The Purchasing Agent will work closely with various departments to understand their needs and ensure that purchasing activities align with the company's strategic goals.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Purchases goods and services according to the company’s policies and procedures.
- Coordinates with managers to maintain inventory levels.
- Evaluates vendors based on price, reliability, capability, and previous transaction history.
- Works with vendors to negotiate volume and cash transaction discounts, and other available discounts.
- Ensures that purchasing documents are complete and accurate and include appropriate and reasonable terms and conditions.
- Monitor supplier relationships, performance and resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, and service.
- Maintains pricing histories and other vendor records.
- Assist with making purchasing decisions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management
- Experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access all areas of the facility to determine purchasing needs.

Salary Range: $50,000-$100,000
