Machinist/Mill Operator

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines (manual and/or CNC)
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for various materials
Monitor machining processes and make adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Maintain tight tolerances and ensure all parts meet specifications
Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
Accurately document production data and report defects or issues
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Cross-train on additional equipment as needed

SCHEDULE:
1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM

 

QUALIFICATIONS
1–3+ years of machining or mill operation experience preferred
Technical degree in machining or related field is a plus (not required)
Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
Experience with precision measuring instruments
Knowledge of CNC programming (G & M code) is a plus
Solid math and problem-solving abilities
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Pay: $30–$40 per hour (based on experience)
120 hours PTO (prorated first year)
